Private pay rates are as follows for individual sessions $170 for intake session and $150 for each additional session. Couples and family sessions are $180 for intake session and $160 for additional sessions. I will talk about sliding scales if needed.
I do take some insurances including HMSA, HMSA Quest, HMAA and will add Kaiser Added choice and UHA when possible. You will need to pay your copay (which may include part of your deductible if not met) at the beginning of the session and I agree to bill your insurance to attain payment, but if the insurance has not paid in 90 days I will send a bill and expect payment for the session and I will include the necessary forms for you to follow up with the insurance to collect the fees for your own reimburement. Most Hawaii insurance plans have no limits on number of outpatient sessions.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my copay and/ what is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis.

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $60 fee that will be billed directly to you (not your insurance) which will need to be paid at or before your next session. I know that life can get busy/difficult but others were not offered that appointment due to your request so medical emergencies are the only exception.
